Choice Neighborhoods

Ms. Rothenberg served as Program Manager for Shreveport’s Choice Neighborhoods application. In this role, she provided technical assistance, advisory services, and program management to the City’s public housing authority and community development department. This included managing the solicitation and activities of the developer, planner and architect for the application; drafting and revising the market analysis for housing and retail; developing materials for community and stakeholder engagement; conducting data collection and analysis for demographics and housing indicators; and managing the final plan submittal, including authoring several sections of the final application. In 2018, Shreveport was awarded $24.2 million through this HUD grant program to revitalize the historic Allendale and Ledbetter Heights community.
